Itinerary
- MorningTrail Start & Shola Forest
Reach the Suryanelli trailhead by morning. Begin the Kyatanamakki trek — the trail enters dense shola forest immediately, with cool air and rich canopy overhead. Gradual ascent through the forest with your guide.
- MiddayRidge Walk & Viewpoints
The trail opens onto grassy highland ridges with sweeping 360° views of the surrounding tea estates and Western Ghats hills. Packed lunch at the ridge viewpoint.
- AfternoonDescent & Return
Descend through the tea estate paths back to the base. Return by late afternoon.

Dos & Don'ts
- Wear trekking shoes with good grip — trail can be wet and rooty
- Carry at least 2 L of water — no refill points on the ridge

- Carry a light rain jacket — highland mist can roll in suddenly
- Don't wander off the trail — highland terrain can be disorienting in mist
